Call me, tweet me, anytime you need me!

I avoided the Twitter craze for as long as I could until one day, back in 2009, I caved in to peer pressure.  I can't lie, I tried to avoid Twitter for as long as I could.  But, after having to respond "no" every time someone would ask me if I had a Twitter account, I finally figured that I better just see what I was missing.  Turns out I was missing quite a bit.  During the first month of opening my Twitter account, I won a Twitter game and was rewarded with a brand new Blu Ray disc player!  Then, I began to delve in more to see what this Twitter thing was all about. After just a few clicks of the follow button, I was suddenly able to enter the world of some of the most famous (and infamous) celebs and also be amongst the first to find out about new products, great sales, and wonderful events going on at some of my favorite stores and restaurants.

So yes, I love Twitter.  Each day, I'm looking for fun and interesting subjects to follow.  I currently follow 848 people.  Here are some of my favorites:

@jamalbryant - I love his inspirational and witty tweets.

@southernsavers - Each week, she lists the best grocery store deals and links to money-saving coupons!

@kimblehaircare - Love the show LA Hair, love Kim Kimble, and LOVE the fact that she tweets back!!

@usweekly - Love keeping up with what's happening with the celebs.

@vanityfair - Beauty and fashion updates.

@huffingtonpost - Huffington posts keeps me informed about what's going on every day!

@instyle - The best in beauty and fashion.

@collegegameday - I love college football.  @collegegameday is the best at keeping fans informed on game day.

@usatoday - I'm not always able to watch national news as much as I'd like, but thanks to USA today, I can stay abreast of what's happening in our nation.

@whowhatwear - Fashion updates.  Keeps me informed of what's in and what's out!

These are just a few of my favorites.  Even though I listed these, there are several tweets that I look forward to on the regular.

If you tweet, find me and follow me!  My Twitter handle is @cfluker6.

What's "App"ening?

If loving my iPhone is wrong, I don't want to be right!  You know you have a problem when you will risk being late to work to turn around and get the phone that you accidentally left on the kitchen counter top. (Not that I've ever done that.)

Even though the iPhone is pretty awesome in itself, the amazing apps available in the App Store are what have me constantly connected to my phone.  Embarrassingly, I could probably have my phone surgically attached to my phalanges since I use it so much.

Of course, having the right apps is definitely a major part of making your smartphone experience worthwhile.  Here's my list of must-have iPhone apps:

Blogger:  Of course, since blogging is my new thing, my blog platform's app would be one of my favorites.  Duh!  LOL

Facebook - I LOVE having this amazing social network at my fingertips.  I can check statuses, send messages, share blog posts, add new friends, send birthday wishes, and so much more with the help of this great app.  Definitely one of my favorites.

Twitter:  Another of my favorite social networks easily assessible through an app.  This is another app that I use on a regular basis.

Cozi:  I've blogged about this great app before.  The Cozi app allows me to keep up with everything that I have to do.  Additionally, my family can add their activities and instantly, our calendars are connected!  I love being able to see who has a meeting, practice, or an event all at a glance.  Cozi doesn't stop there.  I'm able to add shopping lists, plan meals, and take notes.  I don't know how my family stayed organized before Cozi!

You Version Bible: Incorporating daily Bible reading into my life is so much easier with this great Bible app.  You Version makes it easy to read daily verses, write notes, view videos, or participate in reading plans.  You Version allows me to set up reminders, which is very helpful when I embarrassingly forget to take time for God's word.  You Version helps keep me accountable to reading the word every day.

ebay:  I love finding great deals on ebay.  The ebay app makes it easy for me to browse and shop anytime.

Rhapsody:  I love music.  I love apps.  So what's better than a music app?  Nothing!  Rhapsody lets me listen old favorites as well as the newest releases from all genres of music!

Well, those are a few of my favorites. Before you go, don't forget to share some of your favorite apps in the comment section below.  I'm always looking for more!
