When I look back at baby pictures of myself, I notice that in most of the pictures, I was wearing a dress. I have a feeling that I loved getting dressed up as a young girl, something that I love doing even to this day. As a little girl, I spent a lot of time with my mom doing super girly things like shopping, going to girl scout meetings, playing dolls, getting our hair done, and things of the like. Of course, I loved spending time with my girl cousins, for they were the ones who taught me about true friendship. I am also thankful to have grown up with a lot girlfriends. I created memories with my friends that have lasted until now and that I'm sure will be forever etched into my memory. For that, I am grateful!
I am also very thankful that God blessed me with a baby girl. My daughter is ten years old and is such a joy. We have so much fun together doing girl things! I'm so glad that I have her in my life and I look forward to making girlhood memories with her!
Girls do things that guys will never understand. So, here are some of the answers to questions that have perplexed men for decades.
1. Yes, it is necessary for me to talk to my mother every single day. Sometimes twice a day. Other times 3-5 times per day.
2. No, my friend doesn't mind if I call her at 5:00 a.m. We know it's the only time that we can talk in peace before you and the kids wake up.
3. Yes, I have to go into every store in the mall before I make a purchase selection. I mean, duh! What if I find something that I like better in another store.
4. I know I already have a shirt that color. But, that's a casual shirt. It can't be worn with my dressy pants or skirt. So yes, I need them both.
5. Two pairs of black pants? Is that really all I have? I need to go shopping. Soon!
6. Yes, I'm aware that I picked up two shades of my favorite lip gloss. I need one for my purse and one for my makeup box.
7. Is there a law against having 10+ handbags? If so, arrest me.
8. Yes, I do need both the tall jewelry box in the bedroom and the hanging jewelry bag in the closet. I can't have my jewelry getting tangled, can I?
9. I can't decide which dress I like best, so I'll just get them both.
10. I know that there are several things in my closet that still have the tags on them. But, there was a really good sale so I had to buy those things.
