1. <Academic Achievement> My kids never cease to amaze me. Both of them are heavily involved in extracurricular activities all while taking honors courses. Despite the complexity of equation, they somehow find a way to bring home high academic marks and special achievements. Today, we found out that my daughter has earned membership into the National Jr. Beta Club, a commonality now shared by all members of my household!

2. <Upgrade Me!> My Technology Mentor, Ciji Mosely, demanded that I upgrade my iPhone with the newly-released iO7 software this week. Hesitantly, I took heed to her demands. ( I'm usually really late getting updates.) I have to admit, it's pretty cute, and I feel like I got a new phone. I like new stuff, so I'm pretty happy right now!

3. <Football> Two junior high football games Thursday night, one high school football game tonight, and a college football game tomorrow night equals one happy football fan this week! Go Pell City Panthers and War Eagle! (Love my Pell City Panthers and my Auburn Tigers!)

4. <The Glass Menagerie> I've been teaching Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie for the past couple of weeks. We have finished reading and are now preparing to write an essay and to take a test. Over the years, I must have read this play some 20 odd times but, in the end, I'm still left wondering what happened to Amanda and Laura. I love seeing my students' thoughts on that matter. (I'm getting myself ready for a long weekend of reading journal responses.)
5. <Did I mention football?> Okay seriously, I'm THAT excited about my alma mater's big game tomorrow! My dear Auburn Tigers take on LSU tomorrow and I'm saving my voice today for all the yelling and screaming that I know I will do tomorrow night! Will the real tigers please stand up?
